The Playhouse’s five-show professional season begins June 25th with The Foreigner by Larry Shue, “a farcical brew of misunderstandings, misconceptions, and mishaps,” followed by The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer adapted by Laura Eason, Any Other Name by George Brant, and Talley’s Folly by Lanford Wilson. Sponsored by the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce, the 19th Annual Community Yard Sale will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 9 am – 3 pm at over fifty locations in the Meredith area. It’s time for the feel-good event of the year—Kidworks Learning Center is once again teaming up with Mill Falls at the Lake, along with CruCon and Meredith Village Savings Bank, to bring the Meredith community a night of comedy and fun to benefit the children of Kidworks.
On Friday, April 18th, nationally renowned comedian Juston McKinney will perform at Church Landing as part of the Comedy Night fundraising event. This is the fourth year Kidworks is setting the comedy stage as its annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will go towards improving the Kidworks Learning Center facility and future programs. This year’s fundraiser starts with a cash bar at 7 pm, followed by an 8 pm comedy show. Continue reading
