Sacred Waters Yoga Offers Diverse New Fall Schedule

Autumn SWYNow that we are settling into our new fall schedules, many folks decide to turn their attention to taking better care of themselves. Yoga and other forms of wellness practices can be powerful resources for overall health and wellbeing, and our own Sacred Waters Yoga at Mill Falls is offering a variety of classes to suit people of all ages, interests, and abilities, with a new class schedule and some great special events for the fall season.

Says Christina Alexa, Founder and Director of Sacred Waters Yoga, “We are excited about our Autumn schedule because we really run the spectrum of class offerings, such as Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes, classes for people with physical challenges/limitations (Yoga for Healing), Aerial Yoga and Hot Yoga, Yoga Groove with electronic music, Meditation with the “chakra sound bath” (crystal singing bowls) etc., so it is very diverse.”

Take a peek at some of these fun new classes and events:

Free Morning Meditation – Fridays 10:00 – 10:30 – Start the morning with a beautiful practice that sets the tone for your entire day! Breathe deep and connect. During this time of day our spiritual energy is high and there are likely to be fewer disturbances, both internal and external, than at any other period of the day. Enjoy a meditation led by Christina Alexa, along with her beautiful crystal singing bowls, before her 10:30 yoga class.

Songs for an October Night – Sacred Waters Yoga is proud to host this intimate concert on Friday, October 4th from 7:30 – 9:30pm. This will be a Nashville style, songwriters-in-the-round concert featuring national recording artists Audrey Drake, Eric Erskine, and special guest, Rebecca Abraxas. Call ahead to reserve your seats, 603-279-3243 or email info@sacredwaters.com. Tickets will not be sold for this event, but donations will be graciously accepted in support of the musicians!

Intro to Aerial Yoga 6 Week Series – Six-week session begins Sunday, October 6th. Join Nicole Colidres for this new Introduction to Aerial Yoga in a six-week series—start at the beginning and learn to fly! Aerial Yoga unites traditional yoga practice with the art of Aerial silks, using an aerial silk hammock as a gentle support to increase strength and flexibility. There are only five spaces still available, and pre-registration is required. This class is meant to be taken as a progression, so commitment to all six classes is strongly encouraged.

Yoga Spirit – Hot Yoga – Tuesdays 9:30 – 11:00 – With the heat turned up to soak deep into your muscles, this class is very cleansing. Rejuvenate your spirit! Yoga Spirit is a wonderful flow class with some longer holds and balances for a healthy challenge. All levels are welcome.

Buff Nanas – Thursdays 7:15 – 8:15am – A yoga/fitness group with personal training for “kick-ass” ladies 60 and over! This class focuses on balance, core conditioning, and strength.

Yoga for Healing – Thursdays 9:30 – 10:30am – If you are experiencing temporary or seemingly permanent conditions or limitations, intuitive movement customized to your body can help. In this class we move slowly and deeply, with individual attention to each student.

Yoga Groove – Thursdays 7:00 – 8:30pm – Find enjoyment in the pleasant, melodic current of electronic groove music while you ebb and flow from one pose to another with fluid transitions, pausing to sink deeply into each pose while expanding consciousness of the energetic self. Yoga to electronic groove music is very popular in urban studios, and Sacred Waters Yoga is proud to be one of the only studios in the area to offer this type of class.

Ryan CunninghamRyan Cunningham Workshops – November 8th and 9th – Sacred Waters Yoga is excited to host Ryan Cunningham once again from Boston, MA.
